Banff police lay charges in B&Es

BANFF – Banff RCMP charged two men over a series of property crimes in the Banff area on Friday (April 28).

According to police, then men broke into a restaurant and a gallery on Banff Avenue and stole property from these premises.

“The men are also suspected in attempts to break into another restaurant on Banff Avenue and a pub on Wolf Street, and an attempt to steal a truck parked on Bear Street,” states the release.

Golden RCMP apprehended the men in British Columbia and recovered property that had been stolen in Banff.

Justin Hartland, age 40, and Michael Doll, age 29, both of Calgary, have been charged with offences relating to break and enter, theft, and the use of a disguise to commit an offence.
