GAiN Physical Health: Leave Pain Behind

Is pain a daily factor in your life? Whether it is debilitating or in the background, pain can derail your day and impact your life. GAiN Physical Health is here to help.

“We offer our clients a full cycle of care, from diagnosis to treatment using osteopathic and chiropractic therapy. We also offer physical rehabilitation and ongoing health and fitness programs. This consistency and continuity with your care enables us to offer an informed and unique recovery program that is tailored just for you. We monitor, assess, and adapt your program along the way, maximizing its effectiveness, whatever your goal may be,” says co-owner Claire Packer.

Serving Canmore, Banff, Lake Louise, Exshaw, and Deadman’s Flats, GAiN Physical Health’s new, state-of-the-art facility is making a big difference for people suffering from pain, injuries, and lack of mobility. In addition to outstanding professional care, patients enjoy longer-than-average appointments; early, late, and weekend bookings; free downtown parking; and private treatment rooms.

In addition to Pilates, exercise rehabilitation, Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST™), and a lower back pain program, GAiN Physical Health has been highly praised by its patients for its osteopathy and chiropractic services.

Osteopathy is a comprehensive approach to diagnosing and treating various musculoskeletal conditions. It focuses on the structure and function of the body, recognizing that the smooth functioning of joints, muscles, ligaments, and connective tissues is essential for overall well-being.

“At our clinic, we provide osteopathic therapy to address a range of conditions commonly experienced by our patients, including back pain, neck pain, shoulder injuries, hand and elbow pain and hip conditions including labral tears, knee pain such as osteoarthritis, and foot and ankle pain like plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendinopathy,” says Tony Miller, Osteopathic Therapist. “During your osteopathic therapy, you will have a one-on-one appointment in a private room where a detailed assessment will be conducted. A diagnosis will be provided, along with an explanation of your condition. The treatment will involve manual therapy techniques including physical manipulation, stretching, and massage to enhance joint mobility and improve soft tissue function. Additionally, you will receive advice on how to manage your condition at home, as well as guidance on follow-up treatments, re-assessments, and exercise programming.”

The chiropractic program is led by Dr. Marcus Higgins, the resident chiropractor who brings extensive experience working with elite athletes and clients who have complex musculoskeletal conditions.

“Dr. Marcus practices using a holistic and functional approach, aiming to decrease aches and pains while helping clients achieve their health and fitness goals,” notes Miller. “Our chiropractic treatments involve a detailed assessment, including functional movement screens to address the cause and not just the source of the pain. Manual therapy techniques such as joint manipulation and mobilization, along with soft tissue techniques, are utilized. Additionally, exercise therapy, advice on self-management, and guidance on follow-up treatments, re-assessments, and exercise programming are provided to ensure comprehensive care.”

“Dr. Marcus has a specific interest in golf, holding qualifications with the Titleist Performance Institute, enabling him to assess golf specific mechanics and provide subsequent treatment.”

Feedback from patients has been very positive. One reviewer says he has a “totally fresh perspective following treatment,” while another raves about “revolutionary treatment providing complete pain relief.” Currently, GAiN has a perfect 5/5 rating on Google Reviews.
