Visitor injured in shooting at Okotoks home, police investigating

Police say suspected get-away vehicle was set on fire shortly after shooting and suspects then fled in a pick-up truck towards Calgary.

What appears to be a bullet hole on the front door of a home on Crystal Shores Drive in Okotoks follow a shooting that occurred on Feb. 8.

The Okotoks RCMP are seeking information from the public following a shooting last night at a home on Crystal Shores Drive. 

At approximately 9:34 p.m. on Feb. 8, Okotoks RCMP officers were dispatched to a report of multiple shots fired at a residence. 

A visitor at the residence suffered injuries as a result of the shooting, which are reported as being non-life threatening.  

Police say witnesses reported that immediately after the shooting, two suspects were seen running from the residence and leaving the scene in what was believed to be a Toyota Highlander. 

A short time later the suspected get-away vehicle was located abandoned in Okotoks near the scene. It had been set on fire and had previously been reported as stolen. 

The suspects fled in a second vehicle, a pick-up truck, unknown make/model, with a last known direction of travel towards Calgary.
