LAKE LOUISE – Lake Louise RCMP will host a virtual town hall during the monthly Lake Louise Advisory Board meeting Tuesday, Jan. 16.

Sgt. Susan Richter, Lake Louise RCMP detachment commander, said Town halls are a great way for community members and RCMP officers to connect and share ideas around community safety.

“RCMP use public input from town halls to set and adjust future policing priorities,” said Richter in a news release. “We look forward to hearing from everyone on Jan. 16.”

Convening on the third Tuesday of each month at 4:30 p.m., the advisory board meetings explore a diverse range of topics, from construction projects and community planning to recreational opportunities and enhancing visitor experience.

The board, which advises Parks Canada, also delves into discussions on emergency services planning and effective traffic management to shape the future of Lake Louise. The meetings are open to the public.

The meetings are a hybrid combination of in-person at the Lake Louise Sport and Recreation Centre meeting room or online through zoom. To get a zoom link, please email [email protected].

“If you are interested in hearing what's going on around town, or if you have some ideas you would like to share, please join us,” said Alexandra Parkinson, chair of Lake Louise Advisory Board.
