B.C. climber dead after K-country fall

A 65-year-old man from British Columbia is dead after he fell climbing in Kananaskis Country on Saturday (July 21). According to a press release from Kananaskis RCMP, a back country rescue was initiated on Saturday on Mount Lipsett.

According to a press release from Kananaskis RCMP, a back country rescue was initiated on Saturday on Mount Lipsett.

The call for help reported a male climber had fallen about 200 feet, or 60 metres, and was unconscious. However, when emergency services arrived they found the climber was deceased as a result of his injuries.

The 65-year-oldfrom B.C. was an experienced climber, according to RCMP, and was with another experienced climber when he fell.
