“We’ve been working hard for the past six weeks to accomplish some things and the results of that are paying off,” said Andrew Milne, Eagles head coach and general manager.
The Eagles went one-for-three on the power play and shut down three Dragons man advantages.
Scoring the game-winner was Moe, a newly acquired forward on loan from the Prince Albert Raiders of the Western Hockey League (WHL).
“I just want to bring my experience [to the Eagles],” said Moe. “I think I got 265 games in the WHL and I won championship in my third year in the league. Leadership and what I’ve learned I just want to bring it to the team and [Milne] has really brought that upon me and emphasized it towards the team as well.”
The Eagles next game is Saturday (Nov. 14) against the Dragons in Drumheller.
