I had a dream that Canmore’s car-free promenade set new standards in 2014.
A road bypass and tunnel were built so that locals and guests could enjoy an attractive shopping and strolling avenue in the centre of town.
For this successful project, Canmore was subsequently awarded the Milestone Tourism Prize of Canada, the industry’s most prestigious award.
