A well-run town

I see it quite differently. Firstly, there could be numerous good reasons why two staff members were there that day. Assumptions are dangerous.

Secondly, I am continually struck at how effectively this town is run. This clearly takes foresight, skill, consistency and a lot of hard work.

The Town staff I have dealt with over the decades reflect just that. I am happy to pay property taxes – my impression is the Town takes a lot of care with how it spends its revenues.

Have you been to Calgary at Christmas time? The garbage and recycling bins (if there are any) are overflowing, times over, with debris. We are lucky in Canmore to have such a well-run town, with poo bag dispensers and all. Those ungrateful could spend some time living in any other municipality in this country.

Kirsten Froese-Loewen,

Canmore
