Further to the article last week (RMO Aug. 29), Volunteers, Alpine, team up on Cougar Creek, we have just learned that Alpine Helicopters has gone over and above the call of duty for this clean-up initiative. We would like the rest of our community to know what an amazing neighbour they are.
Funds had been secured from the Town of Canmore to cover the fees at the Francis Cooke Class III Landfill. However, Alpine decided to take it upon themselves to sort the garbage at the landfill site and then dig into their own pockets to cover the cost. They have also expressed interest in helping us with a future fly-out of debris from the lower Cougar Creek area.
What we have achieved so far would not have been possible without Alpine and its crew and we would like to extend a gigantic thank you to them. Alpine, you rock.
