Editor: Regarding the letters to the editor of Sheila Donaldson, Margaret Boyle and Helen Krizan, I extend my apologies regarding a quote on the aesthetics of the Sacred Heart Church building.
I did not mean to devalue the sacrifice of the miners, their families and the contributions of the community at large. I am very grateful to God and to them for the current church building.
My comment was in the context of the remarks made by brides looking for a place to get married. At this point of the presentation to the town council, I was talking about the current situation with regard to weddings.
