As parents of a child involved in the alleged child abuse at the former Dragonfly Daycare we are very disappointed with the verdict of Judge Creighton on April 3.
We feel the Crown presented an excellent case, Const. Day and his team handled the investigation professionally and do not believe that these women were conspiring to take over a day care.
On the contrary, we feel that they put themselves and their reputations on the line in order to protect our child. Any suspicion of child abuse needs to be taken seriously and we appreciate that it was.
We would like to thank Stacy, Adelaide, Natalie, Jenna Lee, Olivia, Laura and Danielle for standing up and doing what they felt was the right thing. We will be forever grateful for their bravery, regardless of the verdict.
We would also like to thank Pam at Victims Services for her communication and support during the past three years. We thank you all and feel very fortunate to be a part of a community willing to protect their own.
