Disappointed with service

I had posted a negative review online about a Canmore hotel’s customer service.

Promptly the next morning I received a call from the hotel about the issue. The person I talked to was friendly and helpful until I was informed that “they had already received 15 calls from other Canmore hotels about the review, it is a tight-knit community, and that I may now find it difficult to book the rooms in town and that I may need to review my post online.”

Social media is clearly only to be used to their benefit or else. We are so discouraged that they claim the “tight-knit community” of Canmore will react like this that we will take our entire wedding group of 30 people to a different town.

After Canmore went through such devastation and with the commercials on TV saying “Open for business, welcome back,” it moved us enough to pick Canmore as our wedding destination as none of us are from there – now we will take our business elsewhere.
