Re: Too Much Debt in Canmore

In the Jan. 22 edition of the Rocky Mountain Outlook, Mr. Remppel presents a logical position on civic economics.

Especially now with the economic uncertainties facing all administrative bodies, it would behoove every action plan and program to undergo a comprehensive cost benefit analysis. The Town of Canmore mayor and councillors certainly have their challenges to face and our populace may not always agree with all of their decisions.

However, Mr. Remppel’s closing remarks that council should take a crash course at the Foothills Academy for children with learning disabilities disparages the kids in attendance striving to improve their levels of education and the faculty who provide terrific leadership. These children and educators are to be congratulated on their brave effort and not to be mocked in a public forum.
