Dorm housing not the answer

Editor: Housing seasonal workers in dormitory-style housing with up to four people sharing a room is not a healthy living environment physically, psychologically or socially.

As one of the citizens opposed to the Beaver Street project, I’d like to re-iterate what Jamie MacVicar quoted me as saying in his presentation to Banff council on Feb. 10.

We are more than willing to help find a positive solution for housing for seasonal workers. I’d be happy to sit on a task force that recommends to the council suitable campus-like locations that could be considered, while also looking at the living conditions which we offer these guests to Banff.

I would welcome any other citizens that would like to serve beside me.

Kerry Campbell,

Banff
