Editor: Oh no ... not another exercise in NIMBYism.
All this fuss is becoming very tiresome. This mayor and council were elected with their first priority to provide accessible, appropriate and affordable housing to accommodate the needs of our growing community.
These continuing efforts (legal or otherwise) to challenge council’s mandate to do so amounts to nothing more than a self serving denial of others’ ability to have a place to live in Canmore ... work, raise their families and contribute to our growing community.
Note additional article, same issue, ‘Business booming, staff needed’ ... (read places to live). Give your head a shake people. If the natural, well-regulated and planned process of community growth in Canmore is so abhorrent to you ... I hear Airdrie is a nice place to live.
Enough of this silliness.
