Good bye Highline

Editor : It is not often that I am motivated to write a letter to the editor of a newspaper.

Editor : It is not often that I am motivated to write a letter to the editor of a newspaper.

However, the article in the March 3, edition of the Outlook, ‘Happy Trails from Highline’ while sad to read, provided the opportunity to express thanks for this wonderful publication, while we mourn its passing.

Through Highline we learned about many wonderful people who have made a difference in the lives of those of us fortunate to be residents of Canmore and the Bow Valley.

A few of those people who come to mind are Doug Campbell and Brian Carter of the Trailminders, Pete Rochacewich, the recycling guru, Carol Picard of the Outlook, Kevin Van Tighen, naturalist, and Gerry Stephenson, our very knowledgeable mining expert and historian of Canmore Mines and its legacy.

We all owe thanks to Kristy Davison, who gave us this wonderful magazine and who we wish well in whatever she does from here on.

Mike Williams,

Canmore
