Keeping history alive

I just read the Dec. 4 edition of your newspaper featuring the move of the old Catholic church in Exshaw from the Lafarge property to a site up the road owned by Graymont, where it will be safe in a temporary location.

I want to thank you for an outstanding article, both for the photos and the accompanying informative story.

I always say if it wasn’t for our pioneers none of us would be where we are today and it is a pleasure to read about someone making such and effort to honour them by restoring some of their history, and you making the effort to record it.

I grew up on the bald-headed prairie near Medicine Hat and our family is involved in the restoration of our one-room school built in 1913, so I am especially interested in reading about this restoration.
