Lay off-leash charges

Charges need to be laid against the owner of the off-leash dog in Banff that chased a deer to its death.

Also in the case of the two photographers suspected of using food to bait wolves along the Bow Valley Parkway.

Earning money in this manner shows they are out of touch with nature and themselves. It’s pathetic and they are unable to sense the life-force of the animal kingdom.

In olden times people were more connected and interdependent with nature and her needs. This level of attunement has disappeared. A true spiritual warrior shows the qualities of harmlessness, non-aggressiveness and compassion.

As humans, we also impact on the invisible energy fields of the animal kingdom. The more educated and mentally-oriented, the more out of tune we are with the laws of nature and ourselves. The way to overcome this is to go into that deer’s experience of being chased and subsequent death.

Experience the consequences of a wolf’s death caused by food attractants. Go beyond just ideas and words, go directly into the direct experience of that animal. Then perhaps, instead of carrying out our own selfish actions, we show the warrior qualities of harmlessness, non-aggressiveness and compassion towards our precious wildlife in the Bow Valley.

The quality of lovingness is my hope. We need to return and honour our relationship with nature.
