My family and I live on Rundle Drive. My kids take the school bus to school every day. On most days, people speed and overtake the bus which is illegal.
I have approached both the Town of Canmore and the RCMP detachment on this issue and they both say to call the other. On May 5th, two vehicles passed the stopped bus – with the flashing lights on – and there was an RCMP vehicle that took no action. This needs to be addressed and dealt with before a child is hurt.
I am sending this letter out to see who supports this, as I believe there will be no action until there are “x” amount of signatures. If our elected council doesn’t want – or as they say, can’t – deal with this, then why are they in power?
