In regard to Blair Richardson’s public advertisement in the Nov. 2 Outlook, judging by the letter posted to the “residence” of Canmore by Mr. Richardson last week, Three Sisters Mountain Village Properties Limited (TSMVPL) needs to educate its shareholders on several matters.

First, TSMVPL needs to educate Mr. Richardson about corporate ethics and reputation. Richardson is a minority shareholder that passed himself off – in my opinion – as an authorized representative or spokesperson of TSMVPL that published a full-page newspaper advertisement for the purpose of, among other things, threatening financial instability for the residents of Canmore. Does this financial instability flow through to the new residents that will be living on TSMVPL lands? Malicious public threats for the purpose of intimidating are not consistent with high corporate ethical standards.

Second, with respect to litigation, the residents of Canmore are not being sued. Is Mr. Richardson’s intimidation, as a shareholder of TSMVPL, intended to convince residents the Town should give up its legal right to defend itself? Again, not really clear on this point, but hopefully the judge that is presiding over the litigation will receive a copy of Mr. Richardson's letter.

Third, TSMVPL needs to educate its harassing shareholders on how to conduct a spell check.

Karen Hanna,

Canmore
