Editor:

It’s shocking that our exceedingly inept Premier Jason Kenney and his bungling UCP government has managed to drop the ball – the same ball – yet again. Even a puppy is able to understand bad behaviour and adjust itself faster than this administration.

Kenney had all but called the COVID-19 battle won six weeks ago when he was going to do away with testing, tracing and even quarantining positive COVID-19 cases. Then we had the August of silence, where for more than a month the government was dormant, stunned, vacationing or something other than paying attention to a compounding medical emergency.

Then the alarm clock went off and they tried the old “too little, too late” approach, with predictable results.

Now, here we are – again – in a quagmire of confusing restrictions trying to solve a problem that is far out of control when it didn’t have to be.

Meanwhile the UCP are selling “Best Summer Ever” hats at $40 a pop to try and refill their wallets when they are likely going to get kicked so hard in the next election that they wish they had a CUP.

Here’s a thought: How about selling “Worst Premier Ever” hats and donating every penny to the healthcare industry.

There may be a huge influx of much needed cash. In fact, I’ll take a dozen.
