I hope that the Town of Banff's finance department has a healthy goose to lay all the golden eggs that Banff will need for the now-underway Bear Street rebuild.
Low national interest rates are great, but deferred condo fees, delayed property tax payments, and plummeting revenue from an eviscerated tourism industry mean that Banff will have a tough two-three years coming up.
Many people expressed "concern" when the $9.5 million budget was announced in December 2019 - I wonder how much more "concern" there is now?
