I agree with Naia West’s letter in the April 8 edition of the Rocky Mountain Outlook about the lack of First Nations consultation for the proposed developments by Three Sisters Mountain Village.

As one of the planners who previously worked on the project, I found it disappointing Town administration and TSMV did not do more to work with the Stoney Nakoda.

I worked with the City of Edmonton for a time developing a plan to engage with Enoch Cree Nation around jurisdictional and joint regional interface planning and respect. I found it to be one of the most satisfying projects that I had ever worked on.

I want to thank Naia for bringing this to the attention of the community and for sparking my response.

Audrey Rogers,
