Kudos to Liricon Capital Limited and Mount Norquay Ski Resort for their imaginative mathematics regarding responses to their latest survey and advertisement in the Aug. 17 Outlook.
If “more than 800 Banffites responded” is equal to “80 per cent of Banff residents” to me that means that 1,000 Banffites is equal to 100% of Banff residents.
What happened to the other 8,858 residents from the “total submitted population of 9,658” as submitted to Banff Town council at the official 2017 municipal census contained in the Jan. 8, 2018, Banff council agenda? It is still the latest official municipally-run census number because the most recent scheduled municipally-run census was delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
