Editor:

For 35 years, the West Bow River Canmore pathway has not required warning signs to identify problem sections on the trail. That is until citizens voiced concerns regarding the cost and disruption of improvements to the trail at the Nov. 1 Town council meeting.

In a matter of days, bylaw enforcement officers have chained a sign to a tree, coincidentally directly in front of the residential home of one of the complainants.

This is the Town’s idea of democracy, inclusiveness and transparency. This is crude harassment of persons daring to question council’s intentions.

Town council needs to be held accountable to the citizens of Canmore. It is our tax dollars being spent.

The mayor and council need to be replaced as soon as possible.

Nancy Way,

Canmore
