I have lived in Canmore since 2006 and streets, businesses, and houses get lovelier by the year. It is such a beautiful place to live except for 6 Street, which is an absolute eye-sore. There have been complaints to the Town about this well-used downtown road and I believe have fallen on deaf ears.
It is not wide enough to accommodate passing vehicles. Consequently, the edges break off continuously, causing large potholes to appear and creating dangerous tripping hazards for anyone crossing the road.
Whoever is responsible for this road needs to step it up. Besides being dangerous to pedestrians, it is spoiling the look of our town.
