Here we go again. From October 2019 to February 2020, 508 people responded to a public survey that are setting the rules for a revised smoking/vaping bylaw for the Town of Banff. If a recent quote by former Banff mayor and Senator Karen Sorensen that Banff’s current population of 9,000 is accurate, that means a group of people equalling slightly more than five per cent of Banff’s population are telling the other 95 per cent of Banffites how to live.

I wonder if a group like Action on Smoking and Health would like to document the effects of a very restrictive policy on Banff’s tourism. One positive aspect is pamphlets and information telling people where they can smoke and vape will be smaller, therefore cheaper, than informing people where they cannot.
