You know how to defeat a bully? Whether it's Russian President Vladimir Putin or Three Sisters Mountain Village Property Limited? Punch them in the face. That's right. Now I'm not condoning violence – no way – but Town of Canmore mayor and councillors, please do the right thing and appeal this stunningly tone-deaf decision by the Land and Property Rights Tribunal. Why is it that the citizens of Canmore were invited to chime in on the area structure plan and were virtually ignored by the recent LPRT decision? Hundreds of us prepared a presentation, many filled with anxiety, and spoke to council about why this should not be approved. What about the democratic process?
Most of us in this town are devastated, and very anxious about the recent decision. We need a modicum of hope restored. Please do something about it.
Appeal, appeal, appeal.
