LETTER: TSMV investor advertisement 'tone deaf'

LETTER: Wow, we finally see behind the Three Sisters mask.

Wow, we finally see behind the Three Sisters mask.

Over the better part of a century, I have had dealings with many companies, often in construction and development.

I cannot recall ever seeing a corporation or one of its investors put out a diatribe like the “public letter to the residence (sic) of Canmore” in a Nov. 2 advertisement in the Outlook.

From their first news releases, I have rarely seen an enterprise as tone-deaf and self-defeating as Three Sisters Mountain Village, but this probably tops their previous efforts.

They have consistently passed up opportunities to build a creative relationship with the permanent residents of Canmore, choosing to shoot themselves in the foot instead.

They express concern for their Canmore investors, but openly threaten to financially destroy the town and its population unless the vassals lick the boots of self-appointed feudal barons.

An only-too-believable manifesto for future citizen involvement in municipal affairs.

Rob Guillaume,

Canmore
