My letter regards money.

My mother told me (a lifetime ago) many times “money does not grow on trees.”

So with that in mind… I thank you for publishing the letters last week by Lisa Downing, “Wildlife Corridors Critical,” Reno Sommerhalder, “Stop Developing the Valley” and Jacob Herrero, “Canmore or Crammore” (very witty).

All the letters basically question the Three Sisters out of bankruptcy plan which we have all heard so much about in recent weeks.

Here’s my question related to money, and it’s simple…

Town council should publish right now exactly how much money all this “replanning” and “review time” cost us as a town and taxpayers? How many times has Three Sisters gone bankrupt, sold and been a burden on our town and taxpayers? Clean, clear numbers would be appreciated.

Douglas Maclean,

Canmore
