MP newsletter insults intelligence

Not only that, but with his letter he finally dispersed all the gnawing doubts I have had for a long time when I wondered whether Blake’s newsletter, and worse those idiotic survey questions, were or were not an insult to the intelligence of any ordinary person.

They truly were. One question remains, however; are these “news”letters the creation of Blake or are they being handed down from the Polit Bureau to the MP faithfuls for distribution?

But not only that. Even more disturbing is the fact that this MP costs us, from memory, in the order of $ 200,000 a year, money, as a recent survey showed, again from memory, some 70 or 75 per cent of the respondents thought he was not worth. And the only reason the percentage of disapproval was not higher is the fact that I did not participate in that survey.

Part of Blake’s justification for having spent all that money was to keep in touch with his constituents. Well, I am still waiting for an answer to a couple of emails and questions I had a year, or maybe two, ago. Looks like Blake ran out of money to communicate with me just at the right time.

In a more recent Ipsos poll, Which Profession do You Trust? politicians, both municipal and federal, and car salesmen share the last three places out of 26 professions. Interestingly, federal politicians do not have a monopoly as survey bottom feeders.

“Ninety per cent of the politicians give the other ten percent a bad reputation” (Henry Kissinger).

Blake, unfortunately, is not part of the 10 per cent.

Imagine how much better this country would be off if Blake went back to what I understand his roots were, farming.
