No charm in Basecamp

I couldn’t agree more that it is an eyesore and I am deeply disturbed that approval was given for construction of this facility. To change the setback for the few remaining vacant lots along Bow Valley Trail is a mistake and destroys the visual esthetics of this stretch of road.

I was furious when I drove by and saw this building and shocked it was given approval to proceed.

Mayor Borrowman wrote an outstanding ‘message from the mayor’ which appeared in last week’s Rocky Mountain Outlook regarding change in the valley.

All of us who have been here many years must adjust and accept many of these changes; however, it is not just wildlife corridors we worry about. It is also the esthetics of our town.

We live in a charming mountain town. Is there a reason we can’t try to keep it that way?

There is nothing charming about Basecamp.
