People need parks

Imagine 42 two- and three-storey housing units built on any one of Canmore’s few and far between parks.

Imagine 42 two- and three-storey housing units built on any one of Canmore’s few and far between parks.

Think what future councils and mayors will try to build on these same park lands if our present day Town administration, councillors and mayor are allowed to re-zone Larch Park.

Picture what our town will look like with all this future development on our limited green space.

If you don’t want to lose your soccer pitches, your football fields, your ball diamonds and even your playgrounds, I urge you to support those that are in opposition to re-zoning municipal reserve lands and attend the public hearing, June 17 at 6 p.m. at the Canmore Civic Centre.
