Editor: I am pleased to read that Marlo Raynolds has been appointed as a senior advisor with Environment Canada. He is clearly well qualified for this position, and I extend my congratulations to him.

What a shame, however, that Mr. Raynolds must now fly hither and yon to assemble with the world’s VIPs in their trembling, earnest mission to protect our planet. That jet engines are among the worst polluters is, you could say, an Inconvenient Truth.

The cognitive dissonance must be insufferable.

Mr. Raynolds, you have this taxpayer’s blessing to fly business class whenever possible, to make the flying experience at least a little less wretched.
