Editor: I’d like to take a moment to recognize and thank the drivers of the Roam transit service.
I’ve been taking the #3 Roam route from Canmore to Banff regularly for over a year now, and I feel very grateful to have the freedom to leave my car at home every day and get to and home from work safely.
The Roam transit network is something we all celebrate here in the mountains and is the result of incredible partnerships by many organizations. Last week we had a hard hit of weather in the valley and it was a tough challenge for a few days for anyone who needed to be on the roads anywhere in the region. I suspect it was especially hard on our transit workers.
I for one am grateful that we have so many skilled drivers to get us to our destinations in less than desirable conditions – and that they will continue to be there through whatever Mother Nature throws our way for the rest of the year.
Thank you to the all the Roam transit drivers for your dedication and talent in safely and getting us where we need to go!
