There is nothing more that we would like to have then young workers in our neighbourhood being part of the community, even joining our block party we have on our quaint part of Beaver Street. Unfortunately this is not what is going to happen.
Stavros (Karlos, Banff councillor), you cannot compare the Rocky Mountain Co-op with what has been proposed on Beaver Street.
Rocky Mountain Co-op has suites with private bedrooms, bathrooms, living rooms, parking, visitor parking, green space and even on-site garbage and recycling.
We would love that. Put that in our neighbourhood and we would be happy. As residents of Banff we would like to see a place where staff might actually stay and not just use as a bed to sleep. Why not promote these young people to stay and be comfortable in the hours outside of work. You never know maybe one day they will become mayor.
