As reported in the Sept. 6 edition of the Outlook, the Alberta Foundation for the Arts (AFA) Board met in Canmore the first week of September.
Part of the board’s activities included a reception at Elevation Gallery, graciously organized and hosted by Cheryl Baxter and her staff, Phil Guy and Rebecca Hamilton.
On behalf of The Canadian Mountain Arts Foundation, I want to thank Cheryl for her generosity and sense of community in bringing together the AFA Board, artists and the community to celebrate the incredible artistic talent in this valley. Cheryl demonstrated real leadership in forging collaboration and cooperation between the private sector and the arts community and is leading the way.
