The Purina Walk for Dog Guides was a great success in raising $2,600, including $500 from the Lions Club.
We saw about 150 people with their canine friends turn out for the event.
Thank you to Canmore Veterinary Clinic, Bow Valley Veterinary Clinic, the Mut Hut, the Dollar Store and Home Hardware for donating items for dog goody bags. Also, thank you to Tim Hortons, J.K. Bakery, Boston Pizza, Safeway, Save-on-Foods, Mac’s Convenience store and Rusticana for proving treats along the route.
I would also like the thank all the great volunteers that made this event happen again this year – the Town of Canmore, Canmore Lions Club, Harvest Moon, local music talent and Elizabeth Rummel Grade 3 students who made dog ears for all the volunteers.
