With all the choices available in the Bow Valley for purchasing Christmas trees this past season, I would like to thank those that chose the Banff Scout-Guide Hall for their tree.
The Banff Scout-Guide Hall volunteer board has been selling Christmas trees as our annual fundraiser for over 20 years. Each and every dollar received from the parent-operated sale is directly used to maintain the hall for the exclusive use of youth-related programs.
Our hall is used almost every weekend with either scout or guide groups from around the province with their volunteer leaders and parents. An affordable opportunity for these groups to stay in Banff, albeit sleeping on the floor, allows for children whom may not have any other opportunity to explore our town and national park.
Besides our weekend visitors, Banff alone has over 70 active scouts and guides plus their leaders whom all use our hall on weeknights for their own program.
We just wanted you to know how much we appreciate your support in purchasing your Christmas tree from the Scout-Guide Hall as we know you had other choices.
