Thank you CRPS.

This is to express thanks and to congratulate the Canadian Rockies Public School Board (CRPS) on its firm stand against the placement of the cell phone tower on 7th Street near the Lawrence Grassi Middle School LGMS. Our superintendent, Mr. MacPhee, and the school board certainly made the right decision with applying the precautionary principle in protection of the students and staff.

It is now solely in the hands of TELUS to respect this position and the request expressed by the parent council of our middle school to move this tower as far away from the school as possible.

If the company decides to ignore these requests, only time will tell how safe or unsafe our children are in this school and the neighbours of this tower in their homes. Knowing that carcinogens usually take 10 to 20 years to develop the illness (cancer), we would certainly be heading into a quite uncertain future.

Andre Gigon,

Canmore
