On Aug. 16, I opened an email saying the red trailer would be dropped off at my home at noon and so it was.

It was one that for approximately 10 or more years was the donations trailer in the Canada Day parades. It arrived with trash still in it, no maintenance or upkeep since Denny left the committee about five or six years ago; not what one would expect for loaned items by a town-sponsored group.

While I was a member of the Canada Day committee my neighbour offered to help out with the use of the trailer and it has been used ever since. Therefore, on behalf of previous committee members Bob, Deanna, Marvie, Frank, Chad, Werner, Louise, Joel, Denny and myself, it is necessary to thank Len Gottselig (well known in the Nordic ski community) for his kindness and generosity.

His help and generosity is what makes Canmore a town one wants to live in.

Una Gibson,

Canmore
