Valley could be scientific mecca

Would the province consider, instead of tourism and commercial growth (such as casinos, hotels and conference centres), focus being given to growing the Bow Valley as a mecca for environmental and scientific research? Which could focus on world eco and environmental issues on the preservation of wildlife and wilderness?

Keep in mind, if we have another flood or natural disaster, tourists will run, but scientist will stay, study and help rebuild.
