Waiting for CRPS budget explanation

Editor: Who does the accounting for CRPS? How do you not know that you don’t have a reserve fund? The explanation given to the Outlook by Callaghan does not logically make sense.

The explanation given to the Outlook by Callaghan does not logically make sense. Is Education Minister Dave Hancock an accountant or a financial advisor? Does the board have anyone there that is able to logically think on their own?

I think that we are in obvious need of new board members for CRPS. Just because someone is higher up the totem pole of authority does it mean you have to follow their advice. Especially if the advice of Hancock is bad advice.

Now it is expected that the parents have to bail out CRPS because CRPS doesn’t know basic accounting or budgeting. Financially speaking, it would be unwise to offer full-day kindergarten if you don’t actually have the money to pay for it.

It sounds like I (the parent) is paying for the full-day kindergarten and my child is in Grade 5. If you are going to offer full-day kindergarten, the parents of the kindergarten students enrolled in the full-day should be paying for it. Not all parents, the teachers, admin staff etc.

I think that all involved (parents and staff of CRPS) deserve a better explanation about the budget. We are not stupid and the explanations presented make no logical sense.

The CRPS board needs to try again to explain their financial mess or what mistakes they are trying to hide from the parents and staff of CRPS.

Waiting for a logical explanation…
