I visited your lovely town on March 12.
While I was walking down Main Street enjoying the wonderful hospitality of your town with my daughter, I came across several posters created by local school children.
These pictures where displayed in local stores and were in support of the various international teams that were competing this particular weekend. I was heartwarmed to see the Russian Federation supported in these drawings by the children.
We live in a world where there is so much prejudice and intolerance. It was delightful to see a different outlook in your town where all nationalities were celebrated. I hope some of the athletes where able to see them also.
Well done, Canmore. And to the school children, you should be very proud of your creations and open display of acceptance. You are a wonderful example of how the world should be.
