Editor: I read of Bow Valley wolves looking for food in campgrounds.
I have been going to Banff every spring and fall for several years. The first few years I saw an abundance of sheep and elk. The last few years, the numbers have been dwindling.
This June, I did not see a single sheep, even out at Minnewanka. I saw a handful of elk. Are the sheep and elk herds smaller, and if so, does that play into the wolves turning to new food supplies?
