A male grizzly bear was killed on the Trans-Canada Highway in a reduced speed and no-stopping zone in Yoho National Park on June 11 – just four days after a five-year-old female grizzly was killed along the same deadly stretch of highway.

The childhood rhyme of rain, rain, go away is the theme for southern Alberta and the Bow Valley. Consistent rainfalls pelted southern Alberta – including the areas of Banff, Canmore, the Municipal District of Bighorn and Kananaskis Country – that led to flood watches and warnings.
