The courts will no longer allow any members of the public in the courtrooms unless they are required for the matter before the court, including media and witnesses. Legal counsel is allowed to access the courthouse for urgent court-related business.

On Monday morning, Canadian Prime Minster Justin Trudeau announced to the country they will be denying entry to people who are not permanent residents or Canadian citizens. Airlines will receive the formal order to ban all travellers presenting symptoms from getting on an airplane.

OTTAWA — The Canada Border Services Agency announced new screening questions for travellers arriving Monday following a weekend of disarray at points of entry into the country, especially airports.

SEATTLE — U.S. researchers gave the first shot to the first person in a test of an experimental coronavirus vaccine Monday -- leading off a worldwide hunt for protection even as the pandemic surges.

In a sign of how much the pandemic has grown, China now accounts for less than half of the world's 168,000 cases, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.
