Update: Crash blocks highway traffic near Lake Louise

Traffic is flowing again on the Trans-Canada Highway.

LAKE LOUISE – Traffic is flowing again on the Trans-Canada Highway after a motor vehicle collision near the Lake Louise area, Tuesday morning (July 11).

511 Alberta reported the scene was clear.

Earlier on Tuesday, Lake Louise RCMP were on scene at the accident on Highway 1, roughly seven kilometres east of the popular tourist spot.

Both west and eastbound lanes were at a standstill and caused major delays.

No further information about the accident has been released at this time.
