Banff RCMP are investigating an assault that occurred Monday morning (Sept. 12) in the Banff townsite. It’ s alleged between 1-2 a.m., a male assaulted a female at the Caribou and Beaver Street intersection.

It’ s alleged between 1-2 a.m., a male assaulted a female at the Caribou and Beaver Street intersection.
Two bystanders intervened and helped the victim flee from the suspect.
The suspect is described as Caucasian, tall, brown hair and was wearing an oversized, dark coloured hoodie.
Police are asking for the two bystanders to come forward to help assist in the investigation.
