Investigations are ongoing after a man’s body was recovered from the Bow River near Seebe, Alberta on Tuesday (May 2).
Emergency personnel using a watercraft pulled the man’s body, suspected to be in his late 40s or early 50s, from the river around 11:30 a.m.
Canmore RCMP Sgt. Ryan Currie said a witness alerted officials after discovering the body mid-morning in the river just off Highway 1X where the Bow and Kananaskis rivers connect.
The witness noticed an unoccupied vehicle near the edge of the riverbank and went to investigate.
RCMP suspect the vehicle belonged to the man and do not suspect foul play. Investigations into the matter continue.
